Biographical Note

Born at Redcliffe, leicestershire. BA and [occupation::fellow of Lincoln College, Oxford]] 1578, MA 1582, BD and DD 1596; rector of the College, 1590. He was Regius Professor of Hebrew at Oxford, 1610-20. Prebendary of Lincoln Cathedral 1601; one of the translators of the King James Bible.
