Richard BULLAR d.1540

Biographical Note

Fellow of Christ's College, Cambridge 1539, BA 1537, MA 1540.

Books

Bullar's probate inventory includes 72 titles, in 78 volumes, valued at £4 12s 3d (from a total estate valued at ca.£11). The books are largely Latin, with a couple of Greek ones and a Hebrew text; the subjects are a mixture of theology, classics, philosophy, and other titles needed for university studysubjects. His other goods included some musical instruments. The full inventory is edited as Leedham-Green no.6 (see full citation below); "a fairly standard list with some slight emphasis on rhetoric".
