Paul AMCOTT d.1551

Biographical Note

B.Civ.L at Cambridge 1541, and fellow of Jesus College from ca.1547. The presence of vestments in his inventory suggests that he may have been ordained.

Books

Amcott's probate inventory includes ca.45 books, valued at £1 6s 11d (from a total estate valued at just over £10). The books are mostly in Latin, with a little English, and are primarily theological or legal. The full inventory is edited as Leedham-Green no.50 (see full citation below).
