====Biographical Note====
Son of John Haslewood of [[location::Oxford]], [[occupation::apothecary]].  BA [[education::Corpus Christi College, Oxford]] 1667; MA ([[education::Oriel College, Oxford|Oriel]]) 1671, BD and DD 1685.  [[occupation::chaplain|Chaplain]] to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland for a time, before becoming [[occupation::rector]] of St Olave, [[location::Southwark]], 1693.  A few of his sermons were published between 1700 and 1707.

====Books====
Haslewood's will has no reference to books; all the residue of his estate was left to his wife.  His library was sold by auction in London, beginning 8 November 1708.  The sale catalogue lists 900 lots, divided only by language and format, not subject ([[language::Latin]] and [[language::Greek]] books, 325 lots; [[language::English]], 575).
