"The library of the [[personal title::Reverend]] Mr. John Blakey, deceas'd" was sold by [[auction::auction]] in [[location of auction::London]], beginning [[date of auction::3 December 1715]]; no catalogue survives, but it was advertised as "a choice collection of many valuable and rare books in most faculties, in [[language::Greek]], [[language::Latin]], [[language::English]], etc" in ''The Daily Courant''. No John Blakey, or Blake, can be identified in the university lists or any of the standard biographical sources to identify the owner.
