Biographical Note

Fellow of Trinity College, Cambridge 1555, BA 1556, MA 1559.


Hawes's probate inventory includes 155 books, valued at just under £9 (from a total estate valued at nearly £30). The books are mostly in Latin, with some Greek and English, with a mixture of theology, philosophy, classics, and other topics.
