The library of "Mr. George Argent, gent. deceased", who has not been identified, was auctioned in London, beginning 7 February 1721; no catalogue survives, but the sale was advertised in the Daily Post and Post Boy as "consisting of the best modern divinity, history, lives, travels, poetry, plays, romances, mathematicks &c. of the best editions".
