Biographical Note

Born at Great Fulford, Devon, son of Francis Fulford, a member of a long established gentry family there. Matriculated at Exeter College, Oxford 1682, but did not graduate. Inherited the family estate from his father in 1675. MP for Callington 1690-1700; sheriff of Devon and Mayor of Exeter 1689-90.
