Edward BAYNARD ca.1641-1717

Biographical Note

Born in Preston, Lancashire. MA King's College, Aberdeen 1670, matriculated the medical school at the University of Leiden in 1671, and MD Aberdeen by 1672. After starting a family in Preston, Baynard moved to London where he became an honorary fellow of the Royal College of Physicians in 1684, and a full fellow in 1687. As well as being a physician he was also a poet.

Books

Baynard's will did not mention books, and he left all of his possessions to his nephew, Thomas Lloyd. His libraries were sold by retail sale in London beginning 27 June 1721.
