John SUTHERLAND, 13th laird of Forse, d.1789
Biographical Note
The second son of George Sutherland, 12th laird of Forse. He is recorded as serving as captain in Loudon's Highlanders regimentduring the Jacobite rising of 1745. He was described by a contemporary as having been 'a gentleman of very universal knowledge, who employed himself much in reading and epistolary correspondence'.
