Christopher ANSTEY or ANSTY 1678/9-1751
Biographical Note
Born at Blewbury, Berkshire, son of William Anstey. BA St John's College, Cambridge 1700, fellow 1701, MA 1703, BD 1710, DD 1715. Vicar of Lawford, Essex 1702, rector of Brinckley, Cambridgeshire 1715; he lived at Anstey Hall at Trumpington, just outside Cambridge.
Books
Anstey used an engraved armorial bookplate (Franks 604). The extent of his library is unknown; in his will, he left "my library of books and collection of medals" to his son Christopher.
