Biographical Note
Born at Teigh, Rutland. BA Emmanuel College, Cambridge 1675, MA 1678, BD 1685, fellow 1677-82. Vicar of North Creake, Norfolk 1687, chancellor of St David's 1690, rector of Alresford 1691, prebendary of Lincoln 1703.
Books
In his will, Needham directed that his wife should have "such books as were hers before our marriage", but otherwise he did not mention books, which would have passed with the residue of his estate to his wife and daughter. His library, comprising over 10,000 volumes, was sold by retail sale in London, beginning 25 January 1733.
