John CRICHTON d.1726
Biographical Note
Known only as a physician, practising in London at the time of his death; his will refers to Scottish relatives, suggesting that he may have originated in Scotland.
Books
Crichton's will has no mention of books; after leaving monetary gifts to various relatives the residue of his goods and chattels were bequeathed to his second wife Susanna. His library was auctioned in London, beginning 11 January 1731; no catalogue survives, but the sale was advertised in the Daily Post and Daily Journal.
