Biographical Note
Son of Samuel Seagrave of Whatcott, Warwickshire, clergyman. BA Magdalen Hall, Oxford 1758, MA 1761; rector of Westcote Barton, Oxfordshire from 1763, and also of Castle Ashby, Northamptonshire.
Books
Seagrave used an engraved armorial bookplate, made sometime after he graduated MA in 1761 (Franks 26385). The extent of his library is not known; in his will, he bequeathed all his books to his eldest son John.
