James PETTIT b.1718/9
Biographical Note
Son of James Pettit of Eltham, Kent, gentleman. Matriculated at Queen's College, Oxford in 1736, but there is no record of his graduation, and further details of his career have been traced.
Books
Pettit used an engraved armorial bookplate, made when he was at Queen's (Franks 23421); the extent and disposition of his library are not known.
