John PAUNCEFORT or PAUNCEFORD d.1726
Biographical Note
Son of Tracy Pauncefort of Lincolnshire and Anne Billingsley. Born after 1652. MP for Malmesbury from 1698, alongside which he held a number of other offices including paymaster general of the army in Ireland; yeoman of the jewel office; comptroller of excise and receiver general.

Pauncefort's library was sold at [[auction::auction alongside his household furniture from his home in Pall Mall, London on 7 February 1727. The auction was advertised in the Daily Journal.
