Thomas [[name{{DISCIPLINE]] 1697-1752

Biographical Note

Son of Robert Discipline, of Burnham Overy, Norfolk. In 1735 his wife Merelina Spring inherited Pakenham Hall in Suffolk, which became their residence; he was a JP at Bury St Edmunds.

Books

Discipline used an engraved armorial bookplate, made after 1731 when the arms were granted (Franks 8699). Blatchly notes that the elaborate style of the plate "suggests that the designer was very used to engraving on silver". The extent and disposition of his library are not known.
