Biographical Note
Second son of Sir Edward Hulse, 1st bart, physician. He matriculated at Peterhouse, Cambridge in 1744, but did not graduate; he was admitted to Lincoln's Inn in 1746. His subsequent career has not been traced, but he was still alive in 1759 when he inherited considerable money and property from his father.
Books
Hulse used an engraved armorial bookplate, stating his membership of Lincoln's Inn (Franks 15682); the plate was subsequently reworked with the reference to the Inn removed (Franks 15683). The extent of his library is not known.
