John TURNER ca.1660-1720
Biographical Note
Son of Richard Turner of Uttoxeter, Staffordshire. BA Trinity College, Cambridge 1679/80, MA 1683, DD 1706. Headmaster of Colfe's Grammar School in Lewisham 1687-1704. Vicar of Greenwich 1704-1720. Prebend of Canterbury Cathedral 1717 and chaplain to George I 1717-1720. Buried in Canterbury Cathedral.
Books
Turner appoints his books to be sold in his will, and their retail sale began in London on 15 March 1721.
