John BANSON 1720-1759
Biographical Note
Son of John Banson, vicar of Meesden, Hertfordshire. Fellow of Trinity Hall, Cambridge and LL.B, 1745, LL.D 1750. Rector of Swannington, Norfolk 1751-59, also vicar of Wood Dalling during the same timespan.
Books
Banson used an engraved armorial bookplate, describing himself as of Trinity Hall (Franks 1392); the extent and disposition of his library is not known.
