Biographical Note
Son of Gilbert Benet, vicar of Reepham, Lincolnshire. BA Merton College, Oxford 1727, MA St Catherine's College, Cambridge 1733. Vicar of Surlingham, Norfolk 1733-36, rector of Lincoln St Peter at Arches 1736.
Books
Benet used an engraved armorial bookplate, on which he described himself as MA (Franks 2182); the extent of his library is not known.
