Charles SQUIRE b.ca.1670
Biographical Note
BA Peterhouse College, Cambridge 1688/9, fellow 1690, MA 1692. In 1699 he was ejected from the college due to 'scandalous conduct and extravagance'. He was called to the bar in 1705.
Books
A surviving inventory lists goods distrained for the college, and includes 20 books, valued at 10s (from a total of goods valued at £10 0s 10d). The books cover an array of subjects including literature, grammar, history, theology and others, and they are predominantly in Latin and English with some Greek.
