Robert PICKERING d.1551

Biographical Note

Of Chichester. BA King's College, Cambridge 1536, fellow there from 1534, MA 1539, MD 1548. He presumably undertook some practice as a physician in Cambridge.

Books

Pickering's probate inventory includes ca.225 books, valued at £10 19s 9d (from a total estate valued at £71 11s 2d). The books are mostly in Latin, with some in Greek, and cover a range of subjects including theology, medicine and classics. In his will, he left all his goods to his wife.
