Fellow of Jesus College, Cambridge; BA 1530, MA 1532, BD and proctor 1540.

Books

Ainsworth's probate inventory includes 200 titles, in 226 volumes, valued at £10 19s 6d (from a total estate valued at ca.£23 4s). The books are largely in Latin, along some in Greek, Hebrew and English, with a predominance of theology (including numerous Lutheran texts) alongside some other subjects. Some of the books were left to William Spyrynke, to whom he was in debt. The full inventory is edited as Leedham-Green no.30 (see full citation below).
