Son of a draper. Fellow of St John's College, Cambridge 1533, BA 1532, MA 1536, BD 1545.

Sanderson's probate inventory includes 18 titles, in 31 volumes, valued at £2 16s 6d (from a total estate valued at £12 18s 8d). The books are all in Latin, and predominantly theological. The full inventory is edited as Leedham-Green no.14 (see full citation below).
