Wogan's BA from Oxford was incorporated at Cambridge in 1522; he was a fellow of Christ's College, Cambridge, and from 1536 vicar of Arrington.

Wogan's probate inventory includes 30 titles, in 38 volumes, valued at £2 4s 7d (from a total estate valued at ca.£3 15s). The books are almost entirely Latin, with a predominance of medieval theology, but include Thomas More's confutation of William Tyndale.
