Wiliam BAIRD, 7th laird of Auchmedden, ca.1701-1775
Biographical Note
The eldest son of James Baird (1676-1720), 6th Laird, and Katherine Hay, daughter of the 2nd Earl of Kinnoul. He was obliged to sell the Auchmedden estate in 1750 as a result of his Jacobinism and profligate behaviour.

The extent and disposition of his library is not known.
