George MOULT d.1727
Biographical Note
Described in his sale catalogue as an "eminent chymist", this is assumed to be the George Moult whose will was proved 2 June 1727, in which he describes himself as a citizen and haberdasher of London. He was a governor of St Thomas's Hospital.
Books
Moult's will has no reference to books, which would have been part of his household goods; he directed that these be sold, for the benefit of his grandson (the main beneficiary). His library was auctioned, together with the books of Henry Edwards, in London, beginning 21 June 1727; no catalogue survives, but the sale was advertised in the Daily Post.
