Thomas VERNON d.1719
Biographical Note
In his will, Vernon described himself as a "doctor in physick" of St Ann's, Westminster; he has not been traced in the university lists or medical directories. His will refers to his wife, but no children, and his mother, so he may not have been very old at the time of his death.
Books
In his will, Vernon directed that his books be "privately sold for the best price", with the proceeds used to support the financial trusts he was setting up for family members. His library was auctioned in London, beginning 16 November 1719; no catalogue survives, but the sale was advertised in several newspapers.
