John BOURNE 1654-1714

Biographical Note

Son of Richard Bourne of Acton Hall, Ombersley, Worcestershire; the family had been landowners in Worcestershire for many generations and their ancestors had included Tudor statesmen. There is no record of his involvement in public life.

Books

Bourne’s probate inventory includes “plate, books and other things” in the closet adjoining his lodging chamber, valued at £40, from a total estate valued at £744.
