Robert HITCHCOCK 1591/2-1673

Biographical Note

Born in Wiltshire. BA [[education::Magdalen College, Oxford] 1609, MA 1612, fellow 1612-16, praelector of natural philosophy 1615-16, BD 1620. Vicar of Aston Abbotts, Buckinghamshire 1622, of Wingrave 1636; he seems to have held these livings throughout the Civil War and Interregnum. Sinecure rector of Pennant, Montgomeryshire, and canon of Lincoln, 1660, vicar of Edlesborough, Buckinghamshire 1664. Buried at Aston Abbotts.
