Biographical Note
Born at Blewbury, Berkshire, son of William Anstey. BA St John's College, Cambridge 1700, fellow 1701]], MA 1703, BD 1710, DD 1715. Vicar of Lawford, Essex 1702, rector of Brinckley, Cambridgeshire 1715; he lived at Anstey Hall at Trumpington, just outside Cambridge.
Books
Anstey used an engraved armorial bookplate (Franks 604). The extent of his library is unknown; in his will, he left "my library of books and collection of medals" to his son Christopher.
