Biographical Note
Son of Richard Audley of London. BA Trinity College, Oxford 1700, MA St Alban Hall 1703; curate of Rotherhithe, Surrey and of St Mary Abchurch, London, Upper Grammar Master at Christ's Hospital, 1719. He may also have been rector of Layston, Suffolk.
Books
Audley's library, together with his household goods and clothes, was auctioned in London, beginning 16 december 1725; no catalogue survives, but the sale was advertised in the Daily Post as "consisting of a very valuable collection of books in Greek, Latin, English and French.
