BA and MA Christ's College, Cambridge. Lecturer of St Andrews, Holborn and deacon at Eccleshall.

Books

Broughton's books were sold at auction in London on 14 November 1720, alongside those of Luke Milbourne. The catalogue describes the listed items as 'A curious Collection of Choice and Valuable Books in most Languages and Faculties, neatly bound, gilt back, or letter'd; with most of the Classicks... and Old Elzevir Editions'. Broughton's books, numbering just over 350, are listed by format under the heading 'Bibliotheca Broughtoniana', and are mostly in English and Latin, with some Hebrew, Greek, and French.
