Admitted at the Middle Temple 1704; little else is recorded of his life, except that he was MP for Callington 1719-48, and that he was the last male in the line of Coplestons of Bowden (after his death, the estate was sold to William Pollexfen Bastard).

Books

Copleston used and engraved armorial bookplate (Franks 6831); the extent and disposition of his library is not known.
