John BROWNE 1608-91
Biographical Note
Son of Thomas Browne (d.1621); of Bury St Edmunds. Entered the Middle Temple in 1628 but was not called to the bar. Appointed Clerk of the Parliaments in 1638. He married twice, first to Temperance, daughter of Sir Thomas Crew, and then to Elizabeth, daughter of John Packer, with whom he had two daughters.
