Biographical Note
Son of Thomas Anton (d.1559) of Strathfieldsaye. Fellow King's College, Cambridge 1569, BA 1571, MA 1574. He was admitted to Lincoln's Inn in 1575, and was called to the bar. He became Recorder of Lincoln in 1587 and served as MP for Lincoln 1588, 1589, 1592, 1593, and 1601.
Books
Anton gave manuscripts to Lincoln’s Inn; books survive with his armorial stamp.
