Mainwaring or Manwaring HAMMOND 1651-1731

Biographical Note

Son of Mainwaring Hammonmd of Westminster, gentleman. BA Magdalen College, Oxford 1672, fellow 1672-96, MA 1675, BD 1687, DD 1691. Rector of Ducklington, Oxfordshire 1695, canon of Winchester 1710.

Books

In his will, Hammond directed that his books be sold to help pay his debts. His library was auctioned in London, beginning 2 November 1731.
