Biographical Note
Of Newton, Suffolk; LL.B Trinity Hall, Cambridge 1743, LL.D 1748. Rector of Waterden, Norfolk 1740-50, of Burnham Overy 1743-50, and of Gunthorp 1750.
Books
Alston used an engraved armorial bookplate (Franks 427); the extent and disposition of his library are not known.
