Joseph HILL 1667-1729

Biographical Note

Born at Salisbury; after being educated at several dissenting academies in London and elsewhere, he was ordained a presbyterian minister in 1694. He became minister to the congregation at Swallow Street, Westminster until 1699, when he moved to Rotterdam to be minister to the English Presbyterian Church there; in 1718 he returned to London where he was attached to a congregation near Cheapside.

Books

In his will, Hill left his books, with all the rest of his residuary estate, to his wife Martha. His library was auctioned in London, beginning 4 March 1730.
