Vintner, of London, keeper of the Mitre tavern , but a native of Hawkshead, Cumbria.
Books
Rawlinson gave a number of books to Hawkshead Grammar School, ca.1670-80, partly by encouraging his friends and business acquaintances to donate them. Books survive at Hawkshead today with inscriptions showing that they were given by such people, at Rawlinson's request. The School Library also includes some volumes given by Rawlinson's grandson Richard Rawlinson (1690-1755).
