Christopher PARKER ca.1684-1713
Biographical Note
Son of Anthony Parker, of Bradkirk Hall, Lancashire, MP, d.1693; he succeeded to the family estate on the death of his grandfather, also Christopher Parker, in 1695. Matriculated at Christ Church, Oxford 1703, but did not graduate; admitted at Gray's Inn 1698. MP for Clitheroe 1708-13.
Books
The engraved armorial bookplate of "Christopher Parker, of Bradkirke, in Com. Lancaster, Esqr." (Franks 22712) is assumed to be his, rather than his grandfather's. The extent and disposition of his library is not known; his estate was largely divided between his uncle and sister when he died, and Bradkirk Hall was sold out of the family in 1723.
