Biographical Note

BA Trinity College, Cambridge 1678, fellow 1680, MA 1681. Rector of St Stephen Walbrook, London 1689, lecturer at St Mary le Bow 1699, President of Sion College 1710, prebendary of Chichester 1712.

Stonestreet's library was sold by retail sale in London, beginning 8.9.1716. No catalogue survives, but the sale was advertised in the Daily Courant as "containing (besides divinity and history) a collection of Greek and Roman antiquities, inscriptions, medals, etc. With many natural historians, botanists, and several writers of English history".
