Sir John BUCKWORTH, 2nd baronet 1700-1758

Biographical Note

Son of Sir John Buckworth, 1st bart, sheriff of London in 1704-5, from whom he inherited the title and family property in 1709. He was an officer in the Foot Guards between 1718 and 1727, and MP for Weobley 1734-41.

Books

Buckworth used an engraved armorial bookplate; the extent of his library is not known. His will has no mention of books; after dividing money and property among his children, the residue of his estate and goods was left to his wife.
