Biographical Note
Son of Francis Head of Rochester, who predeceased his own father Sir Richard Head, 1st bart; this Francis inherited the title and family estates from his grandfather in 1689. Matriculated at Trinity College, Oxford 1686, but did not graduate; admitted at the Inner Temple 1684.
Books
Head used an engraved armorial bookplate, dated 1709 (Franks 14309); the extent and disposition of his library is not known.
