Biographical Note

Daughter of Montagu Bertie, 2nd Earl of Lindsay. She married, as his second wife, Charles Dormer, 2nd Earl of Carnarvon; they had no children.

Characteristic Markings

Her books are sometimes inscribed with her name "M Carnarvon", and a date of acquisition.
