Biographical Note

Born at Langham, Essex, son of Lionel Bacon. BA Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge 1657, MA from Pembroke College and fellow 1660, Lic.Med. 1662.

Books

Bacon bequeathed his books to Pembroke; the College donors’ book records the receipt of 273 volumes in 1665. The books include many medical texts in English and Latin, as well as a mixture of titles in theology, history, mathematics, classics, etc. Examples: Pembroke College 4.8.18, LC.1.21, and many others there.
