Edmund MOORE or MOOR d.1689
Biographical Note
Son of Edmund Noore of Fen Ditton. BA Trinity College, Cambridge 1654, fellow 1656, MA 1657. Ejected from his fellowship 1661; moved to East Sheen, Surrey, where he operated as a nonconformist minister.
Books
Moore's library was auctioned in London, 29.7.1689. the sale catalogue contains 495 lots, divided only as divinity (199 lots), and miscellaneous (296), and not separated out by language. The contents comprised a higher ratio of English books to Latin ones than might normally be expected in a library like this.
