Biographical Note

Born (probably) at Great Franson, Norfolk; details of his early life are unknown. He was practising as an attorney before purchasing the office of Chief Protonotary of the Court of Common Pleas in 1638. he bought an estate at Hutton Hall in Essex, where he died.
