Phillips or Philipps FAREWELL 1688-1730
Biographical Note
Son of Phillips Farewell of Ware, Hertfordshire. BA Trinity College, Cambridge 1710, fellow 1712-30, MA 1713, DD 1730. He spent much of his time after graduating with Archbishop Wake at Lambeth Palace and was not ordained until 1730, when he became rector of Clipsham, Rutland, shortly before his death.
Books
Farewell's library was sold by retail sale in London, along with the library of Daniel Defoe, beginning 15 November 1731.
